Subscribing to threads

Does anyone subscribe to threads? I thought (and I know it's odd for me of all people to ask this) that I'd get an email when someone posted in the thread that I subscribed to. I've never subscribed to a thread.

I get emails when someone PM's me, so the board has my email address bbbyyy.

I've never subscribed to a thread. it pretty much auto-subscribes whenever I post in any thread, and I get annoying emails any time anyone else posts. 608 subscriptions.

I once subscribed to a thread by accident. I think I misclicked when I meant to hit "New Topic" and got the "Subscribe" link instead. It was probably a popular topic, because it quickly became annoying.

I only noticed this feature today and subscribed to 1. It's useful. I forget to check back certain threads I'd like to follow.

I've unsubscribed to notifications..so..should I mysteriously vanish because without constant bombardment I forget it exists, you know where to find me. Either that, or have a drink for me..

Anyone have any suggestions? Not about texting Valad, I did already. Anyone have an idea why some subscribe and get emails and some don't?

Version upgrade fixed this problem and it wasn't even why we did it ... it's all good.
