Reyes legs out a run in the top of the third. Minny answers with a Denard Span solo shot leading off the bottom.

It's a 3-2 lead for the Twinkages as Pelf has surrendered nine hits.

This game's taking on a cheap strip club feel: way too many singles.

Pretty stiff middle-inning doldrums, it seems.

One highlight: LOOGY dark horse-- why IS that, exactly?-- Mike O'Connor retires the Twins seventh in order. He's scoreless for the spring, over 4 IP/5 appearances, with 4 K/0 BB, and no inherited runners scored (IIRC, he's come on 2-3 times with RISP). Byrdak's been "meh," and Tankersley has had good process (8 K/0 BB) but bad results (an ERA pushing double-digits, and BABIP that looks like a Madoff ROI).

Emaus doubles and scores on consecutive groundouts. Tie game!

It's E-mouse? Doesn't rhyme with Linnaeus?

I think it's "E-mos," like he's selling you bagged cookies.

Mets lose 4-3. Igarashi gave up a run in the 9th.
