Mets That Tweet

The Mets are up to 4 players with Twitter accounts: one starter, one player who is out for at least half the season, and two guys that might not make the team:

@OfficialMisch48
@redturn2 (Justin Turner)
@johansantana
@josh_thole

Re: Mets That Tweet

at least two minor leaguers that I know of.

i follow all of those but Misch, and i'm not sure I want to follow him.

edit: Misch Not real. Josh Thole was apparently tricked. Ball in the dirt or something.

I hope the Mets gave a seminar on what to and to not to tweet.

Not as far as I know.

If I were a Met, I wouldn't tweet. Wouldn't be any good for my confidence to go online and see 1000 tweets that say "@WilletsPoint35 YOU SUCK!"

Nah, that's not much different than booing. It's the 1000 tweets that have a different solution on how to fix your swing that would get tiresome.

Willets does bunt too much. It's disappointing to read that he's too thin-skinned to want to hear about it.

Nice handle, sweet-natured raffishness, plus an affinity for Arrested Development and Mitch Hedburg... and that defense, too?

Yeah, I'm rooting for a Matt Den Dekker Citi appearance at some point.

@josh_thole has about as much as I have to say on twitter which is not much. I guess he might say he's busy though.

Don't forget:

@carlosbeltran15

I think Misch already has deactivated his account.

I think Ultimate Mets should collate them.

Here's an example.

I think it'll take more time than Grimmy's got, as these links are neither static, nor autopopulating, nor instantly verifyable. Plus, once you start with them, you've got ex-Mets and minor league Mets right after them. And beyond Twitter accounts, there are Facebook accounts, MySpace accounts, and LinkedIn accounts.

BG would need an associate for continuing collation of that.

Interesting thought.

Edgy is right, this is not something that I'm likely to take on, but if somebody else wants to do it, I can give them a space on the UMDB to share the results of their efforts.

If anyone is interested, let me know and we can work out the details.

Matt Den Dekker pinch-ran and scored the tying run. I'm breathless waiting for his next tweet.

See, you can either try to understand and enjoy Twitter, or you can be a dick about it.

I thought about yelling at Matt that it was his turn in Words with Friends when I saw him this weekend, but i didn't.

As far as I can tell that's just a list and not a very good one, as it's missing a few bmfc1 mentioned.

No, I was referring to that one. I didn't realize it wasn't complete.

Well, it may actually be correct, since MGIM mentioned that Misch no longer tweets and Turner is listed with the minor leaguers.

Misch was fake or something. Turner's fun. he drinks wine out at the bar in Port St Lucie.

The list looks pretty good to me, that's a lot of noname minor leaguers that tweet. things are going to get interesting in a couple of years, probably a lot like how football players (presumably because the average age is younger) are all tweeting.

(Going off-topic a bit) Following the Arsenal's players is a riot, especially a young prospect called Henri Lansbury, who seems be banging 6 different chicks, and when he's not doing that, he seems to devote most of his time to Call of Duty.

Life doesn't get much better than that, my friends.

Yep, Type 1. And he's not the only 2010 Cyclone with the condition.

That conditon isn't a good match for being in Mo Vaughn's gene pool, weight-wise. Good luck to him. My friend Danny just lost a chunk of his foot to diabetes.

Along with Jerry Royster. Those must have been some epic family-reunion slo-pitch games.

Cory's a big kid-- 6'3" and 210-220-- but he seems to have had the diagnosis since he was a little one. Frankly, he's far better equipped to manage it-- diet- and lifestyle-wise-- than a mid-life Type II case.
