Mets That Tweet
bmfc1 Mar 20 2011 06:42 PM |
The Mets are up to 4 players with Twitter accounts: one starter, one player who is out for at least half the season, and two guys that might not make the team:

at least two minor leaguers that I know of.

Ashie62 Mar 20 2011 08:10 PM Re: Mets That Tweet |
I hope the Mets gave a seminar on what to and to not to tweet.

Not as far as I know.

Willets Point Mar 20 2011 08:15 PM Re: Mets That Tweet |
If I were a Met, I wouldn't tweet. Wouldn't be any good for my confidence to go online and see 1000 tweets that say "@WilletsPoint35 YOU SUCK!"

Nah, that's not much different than booing. It's the 1000 tweets that have a different solution on how to fix your swing that would get tiresome.

Willets does bunt too much. It's disappointing to read that he's too thin-skinned to want to hear about it.

Nice handle, sweet-natured raffishness, plus an affinity for Arrested Development and Mitch Hedburg... and that defense, too?

metirish Mar 20 2011 08:44 PM Re: Mets That Tweet |
@josh_thole has about as much as I have to say on twitter which is not much. I guess he might say he's busy though.

Don't forget:

I think Ultimate Mets should collate them.

I think it'll take more time than Grimmy's got, as these links are neither static, nor autopopulating, nor instantly verifyable. Plus, once you start with them, you've got ex-Mets and minor league Mets right after them. And beyond Twitter accounts, there are Facebook accounts, MySpace accounts, and LinkedIn accounts.

Interesting thought.

Matt Den Dekker pinch-ran and scored the tying run. I'm breathless waiting for his next tweet.

See, you can either try to understand and enjoy Twitter, or you can be a dick about it.
|
Edgy DC Mar 21 2011 02:34 PM Re: Mets That Tweet |
I... don't think I was a dick.
|
seawolf17 Mar 21 2011 02:36 PM Re: Mets That Tweet |
Nah, we're cool. I think I read that dickier than you meant it.

I thought about yelling at Matt that it was his turn in Words with Friends when I saw him this weekend, but i didn't.
|
Ceetar Mar 21 2011 07:36 PM Re: Mets That Tweet |
also on the minor league front, @insulinbombs is Cory Vaughn.

Is Corey Vaughn diabetic?

As far as I can tell that's just a list and not a very good one, as it's missing a few bmfc1 mentioned. OE:Or are you referring to another website?
|
The Second Spitter Mar 22 2011 09:01 AM Re: Mets That Tweet |
DP.

No, I was referring to that one. I didn't realize it wasn't complete.

The Second Spitter Mar 22 2011 09:12 AM Re: Mets That Tweet |
Well, it may actually be correct, since MGIM mentioned that Misch no longer tweets and Turner is listed with the minor leaguers.
|
Ceetar Mar 22 2011 09:15 AM Re: Mets That Tweet |

Misch was fake or something. Turner's fun. he drinks wine out at the bar in Port St Lucie. The list looks pretty good to me, that's a lot of noname minor leaguers that tweet. things are going to get interesting in a couple of years, probably a lot like how football players (presumably because the average age is younger) are all tweeting.

(Going off-topic a bit) Following the Arsenal's players is a riot, especially a young prospect called Henri Lansbury, who seems be banging 6 different chicks, and when he's not doing that, he seems to devote most of his time to Call of Duty. Life doesn't get much better than that, my friends.

Yep, Type 1. And he's not the only 2010 Cyclone with the condition.

Edgy DC Mar 22 2011 10:13 AM Re: Mets That Tweet |
That conditon isn't a good match for being in Mo Vaughn's gene pool, weight-wise. Good luck to him. My friend Danny just lost a chunk of his foot to diabetes.
|
Willets Point Mar 22 2011 10:16 AM Re: Mets That Tweet |
Greg Vaughn, actually, although he wasn't a slim one either.
|
John Cougar Lunchbucket Mar 22 2011 10:19 AM Re: Mets That Tweet |
I believe the Vaughns were cousins.

Willets Point Mar 22 2011 10:22 AM Re: Mets That Tweet |

Ah, well, nevermind then.

Along with Jerry Royster. Those must have been some epic family-reunion slo-pitch games.
