I'm gonna celebrate by calling my boss a "fucking wanker".

Sadly, I've got no green. Wear a Guinness shirt under my Mets jersey.

I'll celebrate with a baseball game and a beer

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I don't know. I love mashing Mets incongraphy into new cultural contexts as much as anybody. But Mr. Met is a naif. He's sweet and gentle and the kind of guy who puts his hands to his mouth with delight when meeting somebody new. He likes to write, "Mr. Met is awesome" on the scoreboard and foolishly thinks he can duck behind the seats and not be seen after shooting tee-shirts at the grounds crew, despite having a head that can be seen from space.

They just did some pinching between his eyes there that turns his naiveté into a leprechaunish devilisness and it's going to unquiet my sleep.

Tell yourself that it's not Mr. Met, but his cousin Seamus from the old country. Seamus McMet.

Yours fascinates me, because while Mr. Met is battering me over the head, he seems to be concerned about whether I have a hernia.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all ......

Saw a not so interesting ancestry show recently featuring Tim McGraw and well basically he's Scottish and not Irish , at least on Tugs dads side.....

Didn't see that much of this yesterday and on the 6 subway none of it, around Central Park there was some of the public displays of drunkenness that is nothing short of embarrassing, and really if you are bringing your young kids to the parade can you leave the six pack of Guinness at home?

While playing on the rocks there at 68st I asked this guy who was toting a camera to take some snaps of me and Lorcan, I returned the favor for him. Even though he and his wife and kids were all decked out in green and he was wearing one of those crazy hats he obviously wasn't Irish , turns out he's from Columbia and wanted to bring his family to celebrate , I thought that was really cool it certainly made me swell with pride.

practicing his Irish jig

In an amateur hour performance I had the date imprint turned on in the camera for an earlier project I was doing....

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I remember going to the parade as a kid and all the drunks would hop over the stone wall into park to empty out. It got really muddy back there. Yeccch!
