Nice first inning by Capuano.

LaRoche out of the Washington lineup due to a torn rotator cuff.

Sure looked to me like the idiot in left field reached over the railing to grab that ball hit by Espinosa and made it a homer.

You gotta ask Collins that if they gave him "walking to the mound" music what song he'd choose. Do you think Collins even likes music? Or is it something he finds weird. You know Jerry liked his Coltrane and some of that motown soul, and Bobby dug the classic crooners.

Probably a low blow, but maybe not. Every one of her questions I've heard has been racial in nature and has nothing to do with baseball. Then again, that's _exactly_ what her reader/viewership wants to know. Similar to how Swisher probably cost the Twins millions of dollars in revenue/interest from the Japanese crowd with his dirty slide.

Re: IGT 4/9/09 - Nationals at Mets

While I very much enjoyed the Asian reporter's question (for all the wrong reasons), I agree with irish that she's got balls asking what she's asking. She struggles with the language and trying to get Terry to understand where she's going, but God bless her she perseveres.

That cannot be easy in a room full of English speaking sportswriters, not to mention she's on live TV.

After cringing through most of Jerry's press conference--cackle, deep breath--I'm impressed with Terry. He sounds the same, win or lose, and knows the names of most of the reporters. He also answered the Asian reporter with the same respect that he gave Marty Noble.

Does anyone _not_ use AB music anymore now that Alou retired?

Also, I assume Frankie doesn't have a batting helmet or a bat. Or does he? I saw Carrasco taking bp during spring training, but he's being used in a little bit more of a long man/might hit type role.

So who's did Frankie use, and what was the process? "Hmm..Frankie, your head looks about the same size as Ike's. try his"
