He missed the chip-in for a 15 ...

The subject heading is a variation on a punch-line to a golfer's joke: "How did [_______] manage to score a 16 on one hole?"

Does your typical righthanded pro carry a lefthanded six iron in his bag just in case?

No. What they generally do is take a regular RH iron and turn it over (think toe-down/heel-up) and swing lefty. There is a kind of 'two-way' club that some amateurs use (and by amateurs I mean hackers, not those playing for amateur championships) where the club face(s) is a inverted V shape so you can at least hit a bump-and-run either way. Pros and serious ams are usually too worried which of the various lofted drivers they should leave out vs how many different wedges they should carry for that day's particular course conditions to carry such a gimmick club that they might only use once every dozen rounds or so. You're limited to 14 clubs.

Sheesh, swinging in the trees, swinging lefthanded, and using an inverted righthanded club --- sounds like a triple handicap.
