Valadius' Premature Jocularity (Was: Valadius vs. Seawolf)
Valadius Nov 01 2005 02:49 PM |
Admin's note: This thread contains the commentary for the poll Valadius made for his matchup with Seawolf. I removed the poll to avoid confusion with the new one we're actually voting in.

I give bonus to people who write parodies about little-known players.

Anywhere online I could listen to the song, I'd like to appreciate Vals effort by knowing the song.

Or wait a year or two for the star-studded TV-special spectacular. Paul McCartney Turns 64.

Seawolf is in danger of having his song not make it on to the first page of this thread.
Edgy DC Nov 01 2005 04:12 PM |
My attitude is this: If Seawolf gets it up within 24 hours of Val's posting, we start the voting at the point of his posting, with a typical 24-hour window. If he doesn't, it's a tragic forfeit.

I found it, great work Val, and yes I know the song, probablt haven't heard it in years..for any others here is the link..
Nymr83 Nov 01 2005 04:14 PM Re: CPF 2005 Parody Round #1 - Seawolf17 vs. Valadius |
why is there a vote for Seawolf who hasn't posted yet? (i'll assume valadius' vote is his own.)
Yancy Street Gang Nov 01 2005 04:15 PM |
Did seawolf ever tell Valadius that he was ready? If not, I'm not sure how fair it is to make him forfeit. The deadline in that case would be arbitrary; it would be derived from the time that his opponent unilaterally kicked off the thread.
metirish Nov 01 2005 04:15 PM |
I voted for seawolf...I have faith in him you know....well I had at least..
Yancy Street Gang Nov 01 2005 04:16 PM |
Two votes are in already? That doesn't seem right.
Willets Point Nov 01 2005 04:20 PM |
I think if anyone forfeits an eliminated contestant should be given the chance to jump in with a song. Forfeits suck.
Johnny Dickshot Nov 01 2005 04:22 PM |
Did the Wolf miss an appointment ? Otherwise, it's wrong to have started the contest without him.
Centerfield Nov 01 2005 04:28 PM |
I was going to say, unless Seawolf missed a deadline, is there a way to erase the votes and start again? I don't think it's fair to impose one during a time he is clearly not on the board.
Edgy DC Nov 01 2005 04:32 PM |
Valadius, have you been in touch with Wolfgang?
sharpie Nov 01 2005 04:33 PM |
This matchup is cursed. First everyone was waiting on Valadius to pick numbers and now we wait on the Wolf to post.
metirish Nov 01 2005 04:34 PM |
Sorry guys, I shouldn't have sent a pre-emptive vote seawolf's way..
holychicken Nov 01 2005 04:39 PM |
This competition is just not what it used to be. It's getting too corporate with all these "rules" and "regulations." It's tearing us apart!
Centerfield Nov 01 2005 04:39 PM |
No big deal. It wouldn't be hard to change the title of the thread and avi it.
Centerfield Nov 01 2005 04:41 PM |
Sorry, but we have to have rules and be strict with scheduling. There is a Yankee fan out there who has to perform open heart surgery tomorrow morning. Stop being so selfish.
ScarletKnight41 Nov 01 2005 04:43 PM |
CF - you are still The King.
seawolf17 Nov 01 2005 05:19 PM |
Well, shit.
Johnny Dickshot Nov 01 2005 05:21 PM |
Fair's fair. Let's nuke this thread and start over when Wolfman is howling.
Edgy DC Nov 01 2005 05:23 PM |
Wolf, start a new polling thread when you're ready. If Valadius isn't here to re-post his, one of us will copy it from this thread into the new one.
Valadius Nov 01 2005 05:58 PM |
Sorry Wolf!
MFS62 Nov 01 2005 06:27 PM |
Heart surgery in Connecticut?
