DVD Help?

Does anyone have the ability to burn a DVD from a TV show? I need an episode of a soap opera on DVD. Doesn't matter what soap, or what episode.

I have a dvd recorder and would be glad to send you a disc. The problem is the formats don't always match up and I've recorded stuff for people and they can't play it on their machine. PM or email me if you want me to give it a whirl. I meant to start a thread on this a long time ago. Does anyone know about the dvd formats and stuff. I think Phillips might have "invented" the dvd recorder and they have their own or maybe Sony. I haven't run into the problem that often so I kinda forgot about it, but it's a little annoying not having the same compatability as a VHS recorder. Anyone ever own a beta max?

KC - that would be great. I've PM'd you my mailing address. It can be any soap opera -- it's for an exercise I do for my creative writing class, where I compare a scene from a soap opera with a scene from a movie (To Have and Have Not) to discuss different ways that information is presented.
