She didn't have a chance anyway. I wonder if the Bushies requested the withdrawal, or if she herself was fed up.

Their excuse, that senators wouldn't be convinced unless the White House turned over documents is only part of the story. I would've liked seeing the hearings, but so it goes. I shudder at who they'll nominate now. This means that Sandra O'Connor will probably get to rule on at least part of this year's agenda.
