well, Thole played against Wandy the lefty right? It could just be that the plan has never been to play him 145+ games and he'd sit down frequently, not sure why _now_ is the time, at least let him play al ittle more while it's the third stringer backing him up.

Keith says the best Defensive catcher he saw was Bench followed by Gary Carter. I'll take Jerry Grote over Carter. Jerry was a tougher son of a bitch. Ask the umps lol.
