My first thought when I saw the photos was that Dillon Gee had somehow found his way back into the rotation.

Y'know, with four consecutive wins in the books, that top six looks almost formidable.

Ashie62 Apr 26 2011 05:13 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Chris Young looks like a stork.

good fielding decision by LaRoche, decides to go to first with the slow-footed Ike chugging home in front of him.
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Apr 26 2011 05:31 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
LaRoche has a bum shoulder, and can't really... um... throw.
|
Ashie62 Apr 26 2011 05:37 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Why didn't Murphy try for a triple???
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Apr 26 2011 05:41 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
With nobody out, why push it?
|
Ceetar Apr 26 2011 05:45 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
first XBH for Cora with a lead off double. That should hold him for the month.
|
Ashie62 Apr 26 2011 05:47 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Beltran put it in gear rounding second and looked smooth.
|
Ceetar Apr 26 2011 05:50 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Nats fail to capitalize with a runner on third with one out. two Ks, Werth looking.
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Apr 26 2011 05:51 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Young bearing down to strand the runner at third was nice.
|
Ashie62 Apr 26 2011 05:56 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
On the Walter Reed trip, do the Mets "need" to advertise good works?
|
Ashie62 Apr 26 2011 06:02 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Werth just absolutely crushed that. 3-2 Metsies.
|
Ashie62 Apr 26 2011 06:05 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
|
This..again..3-3.
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Apr 26 2011 06:15 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Bigger lead, dammit. Even if you're picked off, LaRoche can't throw, right?
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Apr 26 2011 06:18 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Zimmermann didn't set. Should've been a balk.
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Apr 26 2011 06:29 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Pitcher on four pitches. Espinosa after starting 0-2.

Keith is great. That is all.
|
Lefty Specialist Apr 26 2011 06:46 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
The legend grows. Keith gets divorced, then goes out and has a grand slam and 7 RBI.

I played whiffleball with Lunchpail before dinner tonight and our game came down to Roger Bernadina (me) batting with the game on the line and the Mets (him) prevailing.

Ceetar Apr 26 2011 09:10 PM Re: IGT - 4/26/11 Mets at Nationals |
Oswalt pulled after three innings, 57 pitches. 5 runs. the brilliant Kendrick in, who may be angling for a start against the Mets and Chris Young come Sunday, trying to avoid a sweep.
