Error by Polanco. Error by Rollins. We have to make them pay for those NOW!!

or not. Worley's thrown a bunch of pitches through two, helped by the errors. Let's see how they pick him up the second time through.

A little better, but not enough to do anything. a couple of walks. 77 pitches through 4.

Oh, dear, Ryan Howard.

Wimpy walk!

Keep in mind: they walked an .083 hitter to get to this guy.

bmfc1 Apr 29 2011 06:33 PM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
Awful decision. If you don't think that your pitcher can get out Brian Schneider then he shouldn't be pitching.

It's about frigging time you came out Terry. Were you asleep?

And it appears to have bitten them. What about Sandy?
|
bmfc1 Apr 29 2011 06:48 PM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
Terry. I was thinking that Sandy needs to do something about Pelfrey.

Yay! A hit!

That was a timely report by Guys! on how well Bay is seeing the ball right before he hits into a DP.

Living on the edge and pitching to Schneider here.
|
Edgy DC Apr 29 2011 07:01 PM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
And they walk him anyway.

Edgy DC Apr 29 2011 07:07 PM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
That's my Schneider.

Edgy DC Apr 29 2011 07:11 PM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
Radical.

This game went bad in a hurry.

Ashie62 Apr 29 2011 07:17 PM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
Can Pelfrey be sent to AAA Buffalo without his permission?

God what a shitty outing

Well, good thing you've got the LOOGY to pitch to Howard there. You wouldn't want things to get out of hand.

When runners on on, they hit HRs, we hit in DPs.

Wow, I'm surprised they cancelled this game. So, you know, it never happened.

Edgy DC Apr 29 2011 08:36 PM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
I don't want to overstate the importance of that intentional walk to Schneider, but this game is 100% tied to Terry's decision there. The next game they lose is also.

New rule: if your starting pitcher has lost more than ten pounds in a couple of days, and you have any other viable starting option, do not start the skinny pitcher.

Also if he's pretty much sucked so far this year, add that in.
|
Centerfield Apr 30 2011 06:11 AM Re: IGT - 4/29/11 Mets @ Philadelphia |
Terry's decision. Grumble grumble. Hard hit ball by Bay turns into DP. Howard's cheap GS. Grumble grumble.

That should probably also be taken into account, yes. But last night seemed all about fatigue-- he was looking pretty snappy (results- AND process-wise) through 3.
