'Helplessness Blues' is out May 3, but NPR has had it available in its entirety for streaming the last couple of days & I've been getting my money's worth. It's simple, beautiful folk songs turned into these larger orchestrations with layers of lush vocal harmonies over a bunch of different instruments, all of it awash in this big, rich, natural reverb. The whole thing sounds like it was recorded in an abandoned church or something. I love these dudes like mad, so I'm hella biased, but this thing is awesome.
