Some incredible art work here.I think my votes go to 1958 - the Hague (representational) and 1959b Buenos Aires (nonrepresentational).

Re: Lolita

When I read the book it had the 1997a US Random House (Vintage) cover. This cover and some of the others are creepily "sexy" for a book about how it's wrong to have sex with underage girls.

Istanbul 1964, you're a terrible man.

I read the book, got aroused on page one, and hated myself for about three months.

Re: Lolita

I read the 1962 Fawcett edition.

A friend of mine shot the cover of the 1989 Vintage International edition (the girl with a bicycle).

They must be very strange in Istanbul. Makes you wonder why Constantinople got the works.

Not our business, friend.

I dated 1981 Paris, but married 2003 Warsaw.

Re: Lolita

I have to add that from about half-way through the novel to the end I had no freaking clue what was going on. Nabokov's writing is too poetic for my simple brain.
