if so , if so ............

Reading my Daily Snooze today and there's an insert for "Theatre of Westbury" , nice glossy pix of all the upcoming attractions....looking at the nice pix I thought cover bands....nope

Don Rickles
Jackie Mason
Bobby Vinton
Neil Sedaka

would have swore the first three were dead at the present time.

all Alive

Don Rickles is still getting it done. Saw him on Letterman just a week or so ago.

Vinton I would have been unsure about. Knew the other three were still kicking.

Re: Still Alive 2011

Barry Manilow showed up on Good Day New York on Tuesday, talking about his medical (heart)condition and the treatment he has undergone.
He's had a lot of plastic surgery on his face.
A LOT.

Re: Still Alive 2011

I spoke to this guy last night:
http://www.baseball-reference.com/minor ... ower001don

His wife called in to place an order. I noticed her address was Visalia, CA. I told her the first time I had heard of that town was when it was the site of a baseball farm team. She said her husband had played and managed minor league baseball and then she put him on the phone.

He is 91 and still sounds robust. His current project is building a 1924 Mercedes roadster from a kit.
When he joined the San Francisco Seals, he inherited Dom DiMaggio's uniform (and number). He kept it for many years until he gave it to a member of the Trower family.

So we're counting undead as not dead? Fair enough.

No more calls, please.
We have a winner.
But if I find out that any of my tax dollars paid for it, I'm going to demand they take out the part I paid for and send it to me.
NOW!

Re: Still Alive 2011

It's a sad commentary on the state of professional wrestler mortailty rates when I have to check to make sure a pro wrestler who has been off of my radar for several years is still on his mortal coil when making a decade old reference on a message forum.

Don't you remember the tag-team steel cage partnership of "Big Time" Cheney and Turd Blossom?

Cheney's been pro-gay marriage of late, making pro nuptial noise here and there at least since 2004.

Considering how a poster whom tried to get a weekly pro-wrestling rundown thread going here was treated, I thought it was best not to reveal the name of the wrestler, nor go through the entire story (it actually is short though) as to why I went to look up his status of being alive or not.
