Our Favorite Faith and Fear Columns

In the "Madoff's Curveball" thread, Chad Ochoseis said that this was his new favorite Faith and Fear in Flushing column. That got me thinking - as an off day activity, what are your favorites? This is mine. It's the one that got me hooked on the blog. Specifically, the "Go play in traffic" line.

I'm not sure I have a favorite, thought it was one of the first Mets blogs I started reading and probably the reason I found my way here. They're all good!

I couldn't choose. I loved all the interviews with Shea. And everything else. Greg is a great man.

It's tough-- I can't say I have one favorite for all moods. Among novelties, this may be my new favorite, or at least up there with Met Hell and the April Fool's bobblehead post.

I will most like the real ones Jason and I write after the Mets win the World Series, should we live that long. You're very sweet to have such a thread.

I hope this embarrasses the guy at least. The one where the umpires discuss conspiring against the Mets is one of my favorites.

My wife had no idea what 94% of the references were or who Angel Hernandez is but loved that one. Greg also had the good grace to save my bacon by going on after me with it and salvaging my night. "Hey, guys, I got a message from Angel: 'LOLMets!'"

Didn't mean to embarrass anyone. I just figured that as far as off day activity this would be a nice change of pace.

Don't have a fave but what I love about the blog is that the columns are not game recounts as such, but stories. I have learned a lot About Mets history from FAFIF and indeed from MBTN. Greg is chuffed I bet , grinning like a Cheshire cat he'll be.

Also, I might be the only sucker that didn't catch the gag until sometime after I finished reading the piece. But I was an easy mark: I wanted very much for those bobbleheads to be real. Midway through the piece, I was making mental plans to acquire the Anthony Young bobblehead.

The Shea countdown pieces--all of them. They were so perfect while the Mets real countdown sucked so bad.
