Still standing. Don't see anybody rising. Maybe the virtuous don't run in my circles. Saw a lot of wrecks on the highway, though.

I'm just sitting here , laughing at the amount of shit that prognosticator must be taking.
Its one thing to miss on a weather forecast or a sports prediction. But a guy who predicts the end of the world and misses shouldn't get a mulligan.

how about this clown?

In New York, retired transportation agency worker Robert Fitzpatrick was inspired by Camping's message to spend over $140,000 of his savings on subway posters and outdoor advertisements warning of the May 21 Judgment Day.

As he stood in Times Square in New York surrounded by onlookers, Fitzpatrick, 60, carried a Bible and handed out leaflets as he waited for Judgment Day to begin.

By his own reading of Bible, which was slightly different than Camping's, Fitzgerald expected the great worldwide event to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

When the hour came and went, he said: "I do not understand why ...," as his speech broke off and he looked at his watch.

"I do not understand why nothing has happened."

Not only don't I feel bad for the guy(s) but I think he/they should be publicly mocked daily for it from now until ... well until the real end of days, or at least until the end of their days.

See, if I were his agent, I would have bought him an extra hour of credibility through some Day Light Savings argument.

I mean, for the right retainer of course.

Why, did Cortez tell them a funny joke or something?

Ceeter, the world will now end on Dec 20, 2012. 11 days after my son graduates from college, oy.

Personally I think the Mayans meant to get around to updating their calender and just never got to it :)

The world pretty much ended for the Maya a while ago.

Re: IRT - In-Rapture Thread

isn't it entirely possible that the rapture came and went and nobody met the standards?

If that were the case, there would still be the earthquakes and fires and zombies.

There's a theory that somewhere on the psychic plane, the Four Horsemen were taken out by Macho Man in a supreme act of self-sacrifice.

Re: IRT - In-Rapture Thread

Apparently May 21st was an 'invisible Judgment Day'.

Yeah, that's the ticket, invisible. Like I was saying to Jessica Alba, yeah. I said, "You know, Jessica, this gives us an extra five months to make sweet monkey love, yeah. And you can invite five, um, eight of your girlfriends, too."

Yeah, that's the ticket.
