Dearth of walkoffs

Posted on UMDB's Facebook page: The Mets have played 55 games in 2011, more than a third of the season, and none of the games, win or lose, have ended in a walkoff. The previous record for latest walkoff in a Mets season was 1977, when the Mets waited until their 42nd game, May 28, 1977, to lose a 10-inning game in Philadelphia. I blame Jeff Wilpon! Actually, this is a little strange... it means that the visiting team has won every extra inning game that the Mets have played so far this season.

I find it ominous we are making Metly references to 1977.

Or how many opponenets have failed to beat the Mets in the ninth while the Mets were on the road.
