Sackin' Up.

Without Beltran, the lineup would be looking something like: 1. Reyes, ss 2. Turner, 2b 3. Pagan, cf 4. Murphy, 1b 5. Bay, lf 6. Tholino, c 7. Pridie Harryhausen, rf 8. Tehotta, 2b That's a lot of singles they need to hit in order to win. Nice time to get out of town. Maybe they can reach the fences in Milwaukee or Pittsburgh.

Good call. I think we're gettng there. I kind of want an Evans/Martinez dealio. My real point was to demonstrate the lack of thump through the middle of the order (or anywhere).

Injuries aside, Juicer Bay's a fucken embarrassment. Gee I'd hate to think how he'd be feeling these days if he was Latino or African.

In the meantime, Duda's been as hot as the wings in Buffalo (9-21 w/4 HRs, 1 2B, 5 BBs, 8 RBIs last week) You hate to bring him up for more part-time work, especially since he's been so bad at that in his brief two tries, but with Ike out for who knows how long it might be a good time. Biggest problem is that you don't want his time to take away from either Murph or Turner and we know both Duda & Muffy are adventures in the OF.

I thought this too, how much less hateable the lineup is with Bay on the pine.
