It's after midnight and I'm on a roll Day game for you sleepy-heads. 1:10 PM sharp Capuano faces Arthur Godfrey. OK, it's probably not Arthur Godfrey buts it's somebody Godfrey and it'll be his 3rd ML game and he deserves a beating.

Big-time rain has moved south and east, often a good sign (unless you're out in here, to the south and east). Also, the 1966 Mets are kicking ass -- "meticulously impartial" in their role as spoilers. Take that, Bob Veale.

YMMV. It's their job to create drama. They mentioned that several A's stated that they thought Turner could've gotten out of the way last night. I argue, that while he could have, I don't know of a reason that he should have.

Baseball...they were saying how thrilled he was to be able to visit Shea for the last time when the Rangers came in 2008. Eric Nadel grew up in Brooklyn a Dodgers fan per wiki. He's been with the Rangers since 1979. I have to think the FAN booth was overstating his Mets fandom. From a blogger's interview: "I rooted for the Brooklyn Dodgers, because I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. But they moved to LA in 1958 when I was 7. I continued rooting for them from long distance. But when the N Y Mets came into existence in 1962, I became a Mets fan and went to a lot of their games. I also went to Yankee games, but rooted against them."

If payback for a damaging/showy HR is a HBP, and this was payback for a HBP, shouldn't the pitcher have grooved one for a shameful HR?
