We should put a railing up where he fell.

I think the team misses Wright the most.

I do that all the time with out of town games, miss the first few ABs because I'm conditioned to turn the TV on at 7:10.
The pre-game stuff is just an excuse to get an extra 5 minutes of commercials in.

And yeah, seeing that DH spot really pushes the "must trust Terry" mantra to the limit. If anything, I'd put him in right and move Beltran to DH.

I'm still picking the Brewers to win the division. I know in theory it helps for all the non-Mets NL teams to lose, but pfft, it's the Yankees.

Wish the Red Sox could've actually freaking hit Cliff Lee. They better pound Hamels and whoever pitches after that.

That was Greinke tonight too, although he was partly done in by his defense. John Peter (Juan Pierre) turned four ways then fell on a Granderson soft fly right at him and played it into a 1st inning RBI triple. Then the Brews played the most ridiculous shift I've ever seen on ARod (everyone except 1B on the other side of the diamond even though he hits to the opposite field all the time) and so he simply rolled a ball through the open hole WITH MEN ON BASE for a run-scoring single.

As R. A. Dickey (4-7), who pitched seven innings to earn the win, put it: “The fact that you’re talking to me is a little bit ridiculous. If I even see my name in the story, I’ll boycott.”

Boycott...yet another word in the really awesome vocabulary of R. A. Dickey.

It's not a theory. It's 100% factual that an AL team beating an NL team helps the Mets in the long-shot long-run if they are to make a playoff push.

Myself, I was rooting for the Yankees.

I mean in theory I'm supposed to root for them because it's factual, but that doesn't mean I did/do. Rather the Reds and Cardinals fall out uof it and the second best team simply lose out in the wild card. Also hoping Cliff Lee's ridiculous June leads to a dead-arm July and the Phillies go 10-17 including a sweep at the hands of the Mets and we're not talking wild card anyway.
