44th ranked Feliciano Lopez had never beaten Roddick. “He played better than I did,” he said. “It’s easier for me to walk out of here with that and move forward with that than in 2008 where I lost to Janko Tipsarevic and I felt like I completely choked or last year where I just kind of had a million opportunities and kind of gave it away. Those are tougher to take now.”
