Hey, remember that Clemens perjury trial that started yesterday? Remember how evidence of supposed wrongdoing from the Congressional testimony was specifically excluded from jury selection? You don't? Well, neither did prosecutors, who showed portions of Clemens' questioning before Congress to prospective jurors in open court. Hello, instant mistrial! Said District Court Judge Reggie Walton: this was a "1st-year law student mistake."

So it's a mistrial, early on in the process. They just have to start over again. What's the big deal?

The video they played showed Rep. Elijah Cummings reading Pettitte's wife's affadavit... with highlighted text on the screen outlining her remembrance of Andy telling her that Clemens had admitted using steroids. This'll probably get pushed back at least to September.
