Kirk Gibson's nightmare (not counting eyeblack on the inside of his cap):

Angel Pagan - CF
Willie Harris - 2B
David Wright - 3B
Lucas Duda - 1B
Jason Bay - LF
Ronny Paulino - C
Mike Baxter - RF
Ruben Tejada - SS
Mike Pelfrey - RHP

I'm not sure too many nightmares contain the phrase; "You mean we gotta face Harris, Duda, Baxter AND Tejada?!? .... Oh dear!"
But, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

That looks like a spring training line up. This team is making do with smoke and mirrors (and of course a pretty healthy dose of heart).

You wouldn't want to meet this Mets team in a street fight because they're going to either kick your ass or die trying. I do love that about this squad.

Ok, what did Pelfrey say that the booth is referring too?

I'm kid of surprised, if they're going to use Baxter so much, why they didn't call up Fartinez.

The lineup by album covers:

1. - CF
2. - 2B
3. - 3B
4. - 1B
5. - LF
6. o - C
7. r - RF
8. - SS
9. - RHP

P3Lf out after getting struck in the throwing elbow by Parra's line drive.

Was pitching well and had an RBI single.

Well, it had been a couple days since anyone went down with an injury so I suppose we were due.

Hudson's back to looking nasty, too. That changeup to strike out Bay was vulgar.

Wow. Went to connect the kids to the vac house wifi, come back and now it's 5-4. Damn.

On the plus side, thanks to Hulu, I can watch Gary and Ron call the game rather than Hagin.

Not really impressed by Baxter's effort there.

Don't worry. It's only a matter of time before the ads we hear are aimed at us specifically.

Meantime, whenever you have a weakness, emphysema guy is there for you.

Contusion, X-rays negative on the Big Pelfbow as per Howie and Wayne via Jay Horwitz.

I can't believe with how hard we were hitting this guy early he just completed 8 innings with a lead. Wright's first-pitch groundouts aren't helping.

Don;t think he's not also on notice for wearing No. 41.

First-pitch swinging while down by multiple runs in the ninth. Don't make sense.

Dopey Mark Grace said that Putz was in 4 of the last 5 games and threw 21 pitches last night... so make him work, right?

Re: I.G.T 8/13/2011 Mets @ Arizona

Make him work. Make him get ahead. Put the pressure on him to groove one. Mostly, go forward in your life with the knowledge that a walk is as good as a home run in such a situation. So balls are wonderfully precious things. So much so that you've got to give him as much a chance as possible to throw them before you start swinging.

I appreciate you pulling the whole quote. I though you'd just excerpt:
