I've got an uninterrupted roll going on here - and by 'roll' I mean a one-game winning streak, and by 'uninterrupted' I mean it was interrupted for two days. But we get double the usual dose of baseball today and it starts with Recently Adequate Dickey facing on Anibal Sanchez Sanchez -- 7-6; 4.01; 1.29 WHiP -- faced the Mets on June 24 in Florida holding them to two runs through six before Wright got him for a 2R HR in the 7th and a 4-3 NYM lead. Acosta held the lead in the 7th but Parnell did not in the 8th. Marlins won, Sanchez got a ND

Wow... I almost forgot it was still baseball season. Jose returns today! Let's hope he sticks around for a while. He needs 40 more plate appearances to qualify for the batting title. He also has to deal with Ryan Braun of the Brewers, who has closed the gap and is now only two points behind Reyes: .336 to .334.

was excited for this game, get to see Reyes return, and marvel at what's likely a tiny crowd at 4. I even took one of my summer days (had to take them before labor day, and I hadn't, so what betteR?) and of course, I managed to get sick and there's no way i'm dealing with driving there, so i'm stuck at home watching it on the boob tube. Who's pitching? Are they having Batista make a start or are they going to hold that decision until thursday?

Dickey and Gee today. Pelfrey tomorrow, Capuano Wednesday. Batista looks like he might go on Thursday.

A brief injury scare for Thole as he beats out a play at first base. If he had to come out, the Mets would only have one catcher for the next 15 innings.

The Marlins are an atrocious team. bad defense all around. The Mets only really scored those runs as a result of it.
