The Rock 'n' Roll New York 10K will take place on October 22nd. I will be the captain of the Team McGraw contingent at the race. I really want to get a good team together and inject some Blue and Orange into this foundation!

If you are interested in being a part of the team, after registering for the race go here and choose the Pick Your Own race option. It's only a $50 commitment, although obviously it would be great if you could also raise some funds for the Tug McGraw Foundation.

I hope to see some of you there. Ya Gotta Believe!

If anyone is in or near Prospect Park, come on down on Saturday morning to cheer on our Team McGraw contingent!

The Rock 'n' Roll 10K took place this morning in Prospect Park. This was probably the most disorganized event I've ever done - The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon series is established, but they had no idea how to handle New York. From the race expo yesterday that only had large shirts (eventually they did import shirts of all sizes. But since all they had at the expo was bib and shirt pick-up, why didn't they have enough of them at the beginning?) to the long registration lines this morning it was a mess.

Fortunately, Team McGraw didn't let it get in our way -

And the bling was worth the hassle -

I finished in 1:14:18 - not a land speed record, but I'll take it.

Plus Team McGraw raised over $1,700 for the Tug McGraw Foundation, which is truly amazin'!

I'm feeling it now - a bit stiff, and very tired. But it was worth all of the hassles and aches - I had a great time.

BTW, my Team McGraw team for this race raised $1,759 for the Tug McGraw Foundation, which is pretty good for a ragtag little group (several of whom had never participated in this kind of an event before). Thanks to everyone who helped us help such a great cause!
