Mets and Nats, no score thus far.

(The IGT looked lonely.)

Game continues. No score, though tedium seems to be kicking excitement's ass.

Nats take lead when Wright drops ball. Or did an MLB representative take it away from him?

Wright's defense is rarely great, but its really smoked the pole lately.

MLB bans Mets from scoring.

I can't be the only one shocked when Dickey was allowed to lead off this inning.
Not that we know a PH was going to get on or anything, but this inning would look even better if one had.

Way to work the count in the 8th. Double-parked?

NO BUNTING!

Way to go Terry--you gave up 1 of your 3 outs and took the bat out of the hands of guy who could have hit a homerun.

Well, yes, bunting.

Well, in theory, Bay could hit a homer, too.

Or he could look at strike three. Bay couldn't even hit a fly ball last night to win the game. Terry is turning into Jerry which means an awful manager.

Pathetic managing. And of late, a pathetic team.

As much as the streaky offense bothers me, I wish they could play more consistent _defense_.

Wright needs a day off and I really want to see Val P. in the lineup for once. Perhaps he'll take a pitch.

The Mets were really good at taking pitches and working counts for most of the season..what happened to that? Is it just the playing out the stringness of it all?

I too was really annoyed at the bunt with Pagan. Also: Wright just saw 4 balls in a row. Maybe you want to take a pitch and see if Storen is going to throw strikes before you start giving away those outs?

It was Taiwan night at the park and Ang Lee threw out the first pitch. He was introduced as a "huge Mets fan." Also, Taiwan was introduced as the world's fourth largest island (it's nowhere close, whether measuring by area or population).

As long as they're hitting like this anyhow, they should have activated Hu for the occasion.
