congrats on your 602nd save, shmuck.

I'm just posting because i'm watching Giants-Rams and the little halftime news blurb included the news that Rivera now holds the save record. Berman called him a hall of famer (ok, fine) but then went on to say "and a hall of fame person" what??? does ESPN not remember DEAD PEOPLE IN HIS ELECTRIFIED POOL??? I understand thats not the story today but could you at least gush over his career without calling him a great person?

statistically, the difference in save percentage from Nathan, Papelbon, Rivera, Hoffman is practically nil. You can call him the greatest ever if you want I suppose, but maybe if you do, do it because you looked at the numbers, not because you're parroting ESPN.

Re: Rivera

Is it really such a crime to electrify people who are already dead?

Nice to see Nymr posting again. Boooo, Mariano Rivera. Donate a few ligaments to Pedro if you're such a team guy, hotshot.

Seven of the 23 guys who have 300 or more saves have pitched for the Mets.
