It's been very interesting to watch, and an education in how the French treat minorities, basically the French believe that the Muslim and African minorities should assimilate into French culture without question.The young people that are rioting are the sons and daughters of people brought form former French colonies to help fill out the work force, they are housed in projects and listening to these young people they are only French by birth,they don't feel French and are not treated as such, they can't get work , they were long ago forgotten about by the Goverment....it's a wake up call for the French, but they have a long histiory of civil unrest, just not this kind.
