cooby Nov 11 2005 04:05 PM |

Benjamin Grimm Nov 13 2005 06:39 PM |
True dat Iubitul.
Edgy MD Nov 13 2005 07:06 PM |
I'd like to depart from the happy theme of this thread to say it looks like the guy in the red shirt in SwitchHitter's animated gif is slugging Ventura in his skull as Nolie holds him in place.
Rockin' Doc Nov 14 2005 05:35 AM |
Congratulations, JD. Your entire world is about to change for the better.
TheOldMole Nov 14 2005 08:12 AM |
Best thing that can happen to you.
Willets Point Nov 14 2005 08:31 AM |
Looks like a Dickshot hit it's target. Congratulations!
Lundy Nov 14 2005 08:56 AM |
Congrats JD!
rpackrat Nov 14 2005 12:33 PM |
Congrats, JD! Nothing in your life will ever make you happier than your kids. One word of advice, though: Get as much sleep as you can between now and when the bay arrives!
Centerfield Nov 16 2005 12:32 PM |
Awesome. Cranepool expands yet again!
Valadius Nov 16 2005 12:52 PM |

As well you should be. Mazel Tov.
Vic Sage Nov 22 2005 02:48 PM |
well, JD... all i can say is... is... I hope you've enjoyed your relationship with your wife to date. You'll get it back in about 17 years. Or so i've been told...
Willets Point May 02 2006 11:16 AM |
How long until little D'Brickashaw Dickshot is born?
cooby May 02 2006 11:19 AM |
Actually, that's 18 or 19 years. Dating from the birth of your LAST child. Even I'm still waiting...not that I'm in any rush for my baby to leave
Johnny Dickshot May 02 2006 12:02 PM |
T-minus 12 days...
Benjamin Grimm May 02 2006 12:16 PM |
Woof!
seawolf17 May 02 2006 12:16 PM |
Let me say, on behalf of new dads everywhere... good luck. Because holy frig, babies can be hard sometimes.
Rockin' Doc May 02 2006 05:53 PM |
Just wait until they're a teenager, wolf.
d'Kong76 May 11 2006 06:25 PM |
I'm picking early tomorrow morning, like 1:19am, they may even already be
Edgy MD May 11 2006 09:59 PM |
Bad taste to have a pool on these things?
d'Kong76 May 12 2006 05:20 AM |
Sorry, Miss Manners ... just posting what was on my mind at the time.
Edgy MD May 12 2006 05:36 AM |
No, no. That was on my mind also.
d'Kong76 May 12 2006 05:52 AM |
Internet uncles, pacing ...
Edgy MD May 12 2006 06:05 AM |
I'm guessing Brian Peter Dickshot if a boy.
ScarletKnight41 May 12 2006 07:22 AM |
I'm guessing that this will be a Mother's Day gift to the Dickshots.
Benjamin Grimm May 12 2006 07:24 AM |
I was a first child, born between Mother's Day and Father's Day. So my dad had a Father's Day before my mom had a Mother's Day. That doesn't happen in too many families.
Vic Sage May 12 2006 09:09 AM |
i'm picking saturday, because its my b'day... and a damn good one!
Edgy MD May 12 2006 01:12 PM |
Tara Christine if a girl.
seawolf17 May 12 2006 01:22 PM |
I vote Joan Whitney Dickshot if it's a girl.
Farmer Ted May 12 2006 01:28 PM |
I guessing, somehow, that SHEA gets put in there as a first or middle name, regardless of gender.
Edgy MD May 12 2006 01:49 PM |
And Dickshot's had 19 hours, 45 minutes since posting, including starting yesterday's IGT, but not participating in it.
Johnny Dickshot May 13 2006 02:06 PM |
Ivan James Dickshot
metirish May 13 2006 02:11 PM |
That's great news Johnny, congrats all round....nice name Ivan.
Edgy MD May 13 2006 02:23 PM |
Great news. Love to the mother.
cooby May 13 2006 02:33 PM |
Congratulations, a nice big boy! :)
MFS62 May 13 2006 02:38 PM |
Congrats.
d'Kong76 May 13 2006 03:06 PM |
Outstanding, love to the new one and youse twouse from both of us.
seawolf17 May 13 2006 03:25 PM |
Question is... is it "ee-VON" or "EYE-vin"? Either way, a fitting tribute to one of the finest catchers of our time. I had no idea you were such a big fan.
cooby May 13 2006 03:26 PM |
Don't forget to buy your wife a Mother's Day gift from the baby!
ScarletKnight41 May 13 2006 03:32 PM |
Mazel Tov! That's wonderful :)
OlerudOwned May 13 2006 04:07 PM |

Benjamin Grimm May 13 2006 05:04 PM |
Congratulations! You're beginning a wonderful ride.
DocTee May 13 2006 05:32 PM |
Congratulations, JD. Now tie down Ivan's right hand and force him to be a southpaw; there's always need for a LOOGY.
Farmer Ted May 13 2006 08:05 PM |
8 pounds (gulp) 7 ounces. That's the size of the spare tire in my Jeep.
Elster88 May 13 2006 08:09 PM |
Congratulations!
DocTee May 14 2006 07:36 AM |
As my wife told me--between contractions as she delivered our 9 pound, 8 ounce daughter five years ago-- "I may not have felt it going in, but I feel it coming out!"
Johnny Dickshot May 14 2006 01:34 PM |

Man, my eyes must be tired I thought that said congratulations TO the soupcan clan as well...
soupcan May 17 2006 08:39 AM |
No chance of that, my wings havee been clipped.
Zvon May 17 2006 06:45 PM |
sorry Im late here-
Willets Point May 17 2006 06:49 PM |
Now for the Lundy twins you're going to have to do something like this:
Edgy MD May 18 2006 09:55 AM |
Too kewl.
Centerfield May 19 2006 10:40 AM |
Congrats JD! Sorry I'm just seeing this now. Awesome. What position?
Gwreck May 19 2006 11:14 AM |
Looks like a power-hitting corner outfield type. Or maybe third-base. The intense eyes, the take-no-prisoners almost-smirk he's got going there...
Johnny Dickshot May 29 2006 08:39 PM |
He apparently digs El Duque:
Edgy MD May 30 2006 04:37 PM |
Farmer Ted May 31 2006 09:29 AM |
Little Ivan has his own flat screen. He apparently inherited one helluva CD colelction, too. Lucky dog.
duan Jun 01 2006 11:23 AM |
hey congrats jd!
Johnny Dickshot Aug 20 2006 08:16 AM |
3-month bday:
ScarletKnight41 Aug 20 2006 09:39 AM |
By the six month birthday, he'll be putting his hand up in front of the camera and mumbling about the paparazzi in his face!
Edgy MD Aug 20 2006 10:19 AM |
He's got the "I don't really trust that guy with the camera" look.
A Boy Named Seo Aug 25 2006 11:28 AM |
I should check this forum out more often. Belated congratulations to the Dickshot clan. Very handsome little fella.
Centerfield Aug 25 2006 01:58 PM |
Adorable. I love the little hands.
Johnny Dickshot May 13 2007 05:38 PM |
He turned 1 years old yesterday, allowing us to have a BBQ and miss the ugly game.
cooby May 13 2007 08:16 PM |
This picture is a work of art. And Happy Birthday to one of our little sweeties!
metirish May 14 2007 08:58 AM |
Great pic,a year already,went fast...
Johnny Dickshot May 14 2007 09:09 AM |
Not during the 6 months he didn't sleep though the night it didn't!
metirish May 14 2007 09:11 AM |
Yeah,I should get used to that....
Benjamin Grimm May 14 2007 09:13 AM |
It took my son two years to sleep through the night.
Willets Point May 14 2007 09:17 AM |
Maybe he's freaked out by that other little boy inside the jellyfish tank.
Johnny Dickshot May 14 2007 09:26 AM |
Jeez, I thought we had it bad. Our little guy slept like a baby (natch) until ~4 months then didn't give us a single night's rest until ~10 months. He was up every 2 hours. What cured him in part was getting sick and requiring some medicine that made him drowsy. I guess his teeth stopped coming in so furiously too. He seems to have a whole mouthful by now, but I'm sure there is more to come.
Centerfield May 14 2007 09:53 AM |
Awesome. Happy Birthday to little Dickshot.
Farmer Ted May 16 2007 08:14 PM |
Little Dickshot is probably wondering when he gets to meet his GIRLFRIEND in Pennsylvania.
Johnny Dickshot May 16 2007 08:15 PM |
Weekend of June 23-24. Details coming
cooby May 16 2007 08:47 PM |
wow...and he's so young!
Rockin' Doc May 16 2007 08:55 PM |
I'm not sure I would want my daughter dating a boy named Little Dickshot.
SteveJRogers May 18 2007 04:04 PM |
I don't have an image, but this is required reading for Ivan, Mini Wolf and any other young future Met fans:New York Mets 101: My First Team-Board-Book
seawolf17 May 18 2007 04:23 PM |
Nah, MiniWolf is already working on his advanced analysis.
cooby May 18 2007 04:28 PM |
Aw, another cutie!
seawolf17 May 18 2007 04:32 PM |
Nah, we feed the Jeters to Peanut. That... (checks behind where I'm standing...) is a Jose Contreras. I bought him two packs of 99-cent cards a few weeks ago, and they're kinda randomly strewn all over the house.
Kid Carsey May 18 2007 06:35 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on May 18 2007 07:13 PM |
Quick and funny segue from SJR's post to seawolf's li'l perfersser.

SteveJRogers May 18 2007 06:46 PM |
Heh, one reason my sister is forbiding me from getting my nephew into baseball cards =:(
SteveJRogers Jun 21 2007 02:45 PM |
Well my little guy, AKA my Godson and nephew, will become a big brother in about nine months (knock on wood) just as he is turning all of 25 months!
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 10 2008 09:12 AM |
Anyway, my lame first attempt before my free proshow sub runs out and in time for lil'bucks' 2nd b-day Monday.
themetfairy May 10 2008 10:50 AM |
Very nicely done! And Happy B'Day to Bucket Jr!
AG/DC May 10 2008 11:00 AM |

themetfairy May 10 2008 11:21 AM |
It's still available for me.
A Boy Named Seo May 10 2008 12:01 PM |
Kid's getting big! Got his mom's goldie locks, too. Great stuff.
AG/DC May 10 2008 12:15 PM |
OK, now I'm on board.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 12 2009 05:43 AM |
Three years old today, gets first nude role in film:
themetfairy May 12 2009 06:31 AM |
Three years? Wow - that went fast!
Edgy MD May 12 2009 06:53 AM |
Three years? I had good money bet that you would have misplaced him by now. Good for you.
SteveJRogers May 12 2009 07:40 AM |
Cute little pail the little guy is becoming!
Farmer Ted May 12 2009 10:31 AM |
He's still on for Prom 2023 with Toddler Ted?
TheOldMole May 12 2009 10:31 AM |
Awwwww...
Rockin' Doc May 12 2009 10:48 AM |
Fine looking young man. Luckily, he takes after his mother.
metirish May 12 2009 04:43 PM |
WOW , those were great. I watched last years one too. Apparently i missed it then. Did you make those, can you clue me in?
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 12 2009 07:33 PM |
Yeah, pretty hardcore at the end. Yes, they are easy to do. I tried the one last year with a trial software download that had nice functionality but found you can do it free at onetruemedia.com with a few less bells and whistles but easy to do and one-click publishing to youtube or whatever.
cooby May 12 2009 07:48 PM |
Three years already...he is really very dear :)
Farmer Ted May 13 2009 10:14 AM |
what's the youtube link address for that naked toddler run?
Fman99 May 14 2009 07:10 AM |
Keeping in trend, I give you underweared-Mets-fans dancing.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 17 2009 08:01 AM |
One more indulgent proud parent movie:
Edgy MD May 17 2009 01:35 PM |
Thanks for cutting out just as the booger-picking black-haired kid reaches for the cake.
John Cougar Lunchbucket Jul 01 2009 10:50 AM |
Poor guy has been dealing with a new day-care situation starting this week plus the semi-related and way-too-late separation from a binky (which he only used at sleeptime, but like, needed it). Left him crying his eyes out this morning at school and wanna die.
Fman99 Jul 01 2009 11:43 AM |
I know that drill. Fgirl is only using hers at nap and bedtime; after her 2nd birthday next week it's bye bye "mee-mee" for her. My prediction? Pain.
seawolf17 Jul 01 2009 11:58 AM |
We expected serious binky withdrawal with MiniWolf, but he was a champ. They just kinda disappeared one day, and he was over it. I guess we got lucky.
Edgy MD Jul 01 2009 12:02 PM |
Coolest thing about Clubber Lang? Even his gloves would sweat.
John Cougar Lunchbucket Jul 01 2009 12:06 PM |
We'll see how fast he adjusts. Monday was his first nap without one, and last night his first overnight. I'm thinking about getting him the patch, or maybe that gum.
Farmer Ted Jul 01 2009 12:23 PM |
We ended the binky nonsense at 3 years with Toddler Ted. It took only one day, thankfully. Her teeth weren't coming in straight but they straightened up nicely in about 2 months post-binky.
Edgy MD Jul 01 2009 12:31 PM |
Any word from the Stokeses?
themetfairy Jul 01 2009 12:42 PM |
Good luck Lunchbucket. These transitions are hard (probably harder on the parents than the kids), but are generally short-lived.
John Cougar Lunchbucket Jul 01 2009 12:48 PM |
Thanks! He's usually very social and happy, to see him get teary and scared is murder, I tellsya.
themetfairy Jul 02 2009 10:27 AM |
How did he do this morning?
John Cougar Lunchbucket Jul 02 2009 10:35 AM |
Ugh....
themetfairy Jul 02 2009 10:56 AM |
So he's ready for middle school.
John Cougar Lunchbucket Jul 09 2009 07:36 AM |
He was over the binky thing in a few days but giving us major shit over going to camp ... and when I say major, I mean, like, major....
metirish Jul 09 2009 07:42 AM |
Thankfully Lorcan never seemed to like the binky so he's never used one , starting to work him of the bottle now....never uses one at day-care so home is the problem
themetfairy Jul 09 2009 08:26 AM |
Right on schedule :) Glad that you're past the adjustment period!
John Cougar Lunchbucket Aug 19 2009 08:41 AM |
Lunchpail shows you how to bowl 300:
Farmer Ted Aug 21 2009 04:21 PM |
That's freaking great. "I did it!"

Earlier today
Benjamin Grimm May 22 2010 06:30 AM Re: Just one |
I've sometimes been tempted to do just that.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 11 2011 11:08 PM Re: Just one |
Five years old today. Forgive the self-indulgent parenting ( not to mention the half-assed effort at editing a video)
themetfairy May 12 2011 06:13 AM Re: Just one |
I think the only unforgivable part of the video was the choice of music....
metirish May 12 2011 06:22 AM Re: Just one |
Great video, the music was appropriate. Happy birthday Ivan, born the year of the last good Mets team ;)
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 12 2011 06:24 AM Re: Just one |
Don't be dissing the Brady Kids, they rock the gum.
metirish May 12 2011 06:33 AM Re: Just one |
Mean to say , in the last still shot he really looks like you.
Edgy MD May 12 2011 06:59 AM Re: Just one |
Lovin' it. He'll make a great octopus. Achieving bilateral symmetry is ambitious, to say the least, but I'm sure he can do it.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 12 2012 07:26 PM Re: Just one |
6 today. Baseball game this morning, then big-ass party at home with 15 5 and 6 year old boys. I am wiped.
Mets – Willets Point May 12 2012 07:42 PM Re: Just one |
Wow, it seems like this thread started more recently than six years ago!
