Lame Outfield

This is inspired by the Darryl Strawberry Award thread. I was going to post it there but I didn't want to clutter that thread with a big clunky chart. Anyway, I was thinking that the 2011 had a particularly weak offensive outfield. I ran some numbers (using only stats generated by the starting outfielders in each game) and here's what I got. Beltran solidified rightfield as almost nobody has since Strawberry left.

Please. As you can see from reading up the chart, it can and does get far worse.

I wouldn't have guessed 2004 as the homerunniest Met starting outfield ever, but Kablammeron with 36 in center helped, flanked by Floyd and Hidalgo.

Seven outfield homers from an ephemeral Eric Valent that year, with six more coming as a firstbaseman or pinch-hitter.

About 45 of those wins came from teams that realized they were overmatched and forfeited.
