Now that the World Series is out of the way, we can look forward to the match-up between MLB All-Stars and Taiwan All-Stars, starting Tuesday night. And every game will be shown live on the MLB Network.

Well, they may not be all stars, but they're all American. They're being managed by 1982 Met Bruce Bochy (who I'm sort of suspicious of as an American manager, as he was born in France). Druew Butera heads over there with Met DNA as well. Unfortunately, he also heads there wit a .481 career OPS.

Some decent players there but that pitching staff is frightening.

We really only have six pitchers? Doesn't sound like enough.

US v. Taiwan? Let's play it in Williamsport.

I don't think that's a complete roster - and it's certainly not a U.S. roster as there are more than a few foreign-born players on it. I suspect those are the MLB players who are participating in this tourney although not on the same team.

I'm confident those guys represent the same team.

Well if that's one team then it's not a U.S.A. team.

It has to do with whether you consider Taiwan an independent country or as a part of China, which China officially does. Major corporations. broadcast networks, sports leagues etc. that want to stay in China's good graces go with the Chinese Taipei thing.

That's my thinking.

I hadn't thought about it, but I guess it's cool for Dillon to be bouncing around this tour with a chinophonic name like "Gee."
