YouTube song stuff

There are websites that will convert a YouTube video to an mp3. If, for the sake of argument, you were to use one of them to convert a song to your own mp3, would you come under the radar of the download police?

I would say that would fall under piracy law jurisdictions.

There is a site like that, and I've done it. I have the link bookmarked in my other computer, so I'll get it to you.

I had actually found the site -- but thanks. I was just curious -- I know it's piracy, but, theoretically, if one wanted to do it, would it be traceable piracy?

Ooo, can you message me the site too? I've been looking to create a ringtone from the music behind a now-defunct website that currently lives only on youtube. Most of the services advertised seem shady and it'd be good to go with one I know works.

Oh, and of course if the mp3 is delivered via email it's that much easier to trace its destination back to a guy or gal behind a monitor.

The kind of stuff I like is the kind of stuff no one really cares about tracing anyway.
