Memories of Jason Pridie

It was a good year for Joshes and Jasons, but our backup centerfielder is apparently West Coast-bound Perfectly adequate defense. A flourish of power when he came up that dried up after the second week or so. An impressive beard. A comely fiancé. I will likely, one day, conflate him with Darren Bragg, but he definitely rates ahead.

Appreciated that he got a big hit the night following the afternoon memorial service for Dana Brand -- one beard picking up where another left off.

Three-run dong against the D-Backs to cement the series win in April, then another against the Dodgers in May. BIG, Pepsi-Porchy ones, too, IIRC. Chin like he was Popeye the Fielder Man.

His girlfriend, plus ..., well plus nothing, just the girl. Actually there was also his penchant for hitting while he was starting but not while he was subbing, but then not hitting well enough to start for very long. Had some good games early on, then not so much.

I approved of his 3-run homering. I was indifferent to disapproving of the rest of his act, pretty much. I mean, sure he was there and all.
