Sandy Alderson Quotes Before Winter Meetings

Sandy's making the rounds, SNY, beat writers, bloggers prior to the meetings. He's gonna say a lot of things, most of which will probably be meaningless, but it's the closest thing to news we have to talk about lately. (off topic already, where'd these new sticky options come from?)

probably going to touch base with Reyes again soon, but haven't talked the last couple of days. mentioned catcher and 2b, but bullpen is the glaring hole. never talked to Posada.

trade market hasn't developed yet. They'll probably grab a rule 5 guy, but hard to predict. Probably more closers than teams that need closers, not going to be goaded into overpaying via greedy agents shooting for the moon based on Amaro.

Good work Ceetar, rarely has a guy made saying nothing sound so important , outside of a politician anyway.

Across sports, I'm not sure why we need to hear from GMs so much, when really they don't want to say anything and tip their hand to agents/enemies.
