It turned out to be appendicitis and he underwent emergency surgery, but made it back into the lineup by October 1 --- in time for their triumphant post-season run to the championship. [/*:m] [*]Is apparently the nicest guy on the planet.[/*:m][/list:o] Seriously, could they be more alike? It's like the Mets traded 30-year-old Ángel Pagán for 34-year-old Angel Pagan. He got traded for himself like Harry Chiti. Or even more, in some sort of diabolical deal, the Mets received Ramon Ramirez in exchange for four years of Ángel Pagán's life.

Tracky has consistently said Pagan was unliked around the Mets, so there's that.
