Use this thread to record and track the wagers you make with one another over the course of the season. I will start with 3 I know of already Premise Bettor Counter Premise Bettor Stake Winner The Mets will score more runs than the Phillies this year Ceetar No they won't attgig $20 to winner's choice charity -- The Mets will score more runs than the Phillies this year JCL No they won't Vic Sage $20 to winner's choice charity -- The next Met to wear No. 7 will be Reese Havens JCL The next Met to wear No. 7 will be "some scrub" Ceetar beer -- Lucas Duda will be the second most-valuable RFer in the NL East in 2012 as measured by WAR on baseball-reference Ceetar No he won't but I'm rooting for him MetIrish Charity donation (MetIrish)/Pride (Ceetrar) --

For the fun of it I would like to place $20 bet on this from Ceetar I think at the end of the day, Duda will be the second most valuable RFer, but it'll be close with Stanton. I'm betting that Duda will not be the second most valuable RFer. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17377

bet something really good. like a public proclamation of love and affection towards the wilpon regime. or a day in a mfy cap. the latter would of course grant you free reign to commit nefarious crimes and misdemeanors, so it's not a total loss.

I don't know... I think that wearing a Yankee cap could result in severe scalp burns.

Ok , I can go for either donating money or, and this is not easy to say, wearing one of those awful MFY's 28 championship jackets......the wearer must have a picture taken with it on amd post it here AND on their facebook.

Personally, I'd bet cash before I'd bet wearing MFY stuff. Money can be replaced. My soul, not so much.

Are you saying some of you _own_ this stuff for me to wear if I lost? I certainly don't. I got two free SI Yankees hats last year and promptly put them in a white elephant grab bag at christmas time.

How about one of those douchey "Big Papi Has A Tiny PeePee LOL" (or some such) shirts from one of those River Avenue stands? Not technically the enemy gear, but just as-- if not more-- embarrassing.

Would it be possible to link to the threads where these wagers were initially made? I'm having trouble finding them to read the context in which the originated. Also, I'm pretty sure I still owe Lunch a giant beer at Zum Schneider from some wager I lost years ago.

I'd lean towards no, since I'm not sure how we judge 'scrub' status of coaches.
