Where are the snows of 2012?

About three inches here in my part of Jersey, but felt like it was turning to rain at around noon.

about four inches here in the Bronx , maybe less maybe more, early morning late afternoon not the best snow to make a snowman

This has been maybe the tamest Syracuse winter we've had, in the 12 years since I moved to the area. Which is fine by me. Easier to run outside on clear roads and temps in the 40's anyway.

I'm hoping to have at least 1 more tame day between Vermont and Syracuse...I drive my daughter back to college in Syracuse tomorrow morning and then have to return same day for work on Monday...would be real nice to have an uneventful 10-12 hour road trip tomorrow...I made the trek to central Massachusetts last weekend to drive her sister back to college... by the way...up here in northern Vermont, we've got next to nothing on the ground...we finally got about 1/2 inch of snow today to cover up the ice skating rink of a driveway that I have...It's been very cold, warms up to rain, then immediately gets cold again so that the rain turns to ice...

4-6ish seemed spot on in North Jersey. When I got to Long Island it was about an inch and some sleet on top. Nassau Coliseum parking lot was ..interesting.

Got about 4 inches or more of the heavy wet snow up here in the hills of Connecticut. My daughter says there are 2-3 inches of that stuff on the coast. (L I Sound) Later

got about an inch of wet snow overnight. should be all drizzly rain the rest of the day.

Where are the snows of 2012? Mostly in Europe apparently; record-setting snows and cold in some sections of eastern Europe particularly.

I got a great deal on snow boots in September, thus guaranteeing that it wouldn't snow much this year!

I bought my first new pair of snow boots in 25 years this year. Have put them on once (and it snowed so little that day that I really didn't need to wear them then).
