According to MLB.com Mets' beat man Anthony DiSomethingItalian, Jon Niese had that Toucan Sam beak of his shaved down a tick.

Apparently, he can breathe better now and is in noticeably better shape.

But will it make him pitch any better?

This may seem obvious, but if Beltran is talking about paying for plastic surgery....

I hope his career doesn't take a nose dive like Jennifer Grey's did after she had her's "fixed".

Niese was the one that had the rapid heart rate last year right? could be nice that he's breathing better..

I'm a little concerned about Niese.
I remember when singer Dionne Warwick had dental work done to close up the gap between her two front teeth.
She never had another hit record.

Well, the Dionne thing couldn't be less true. Her most successful period came after the most gorgeous set of caps were affixed to her chompers.
