One pub I was reading picked Niese as one of its "breakout players" for 2012. Of course such lists probably have the accuracy of long-range weather forecasts, but whatever. The other name with NYM connections on that list: Fernando Martinez. Boy it would suck if that happens.

I went to today's game. All of the pitchers looked good but they were primarily facing minor leaguers. Turner looked good both at bat and in the field. Den Dekker had a nice opposite field double against a lefty. Not much to report. Here's a picture of three Mets that made the trip but didn't play:
