Someone said Lutz, Valdespin, Rottino all in the lineup for Buffalo, indicating no DLNA anyway.

If the season ended yesterday, the Mets would be traveling to Phoenix for a one game do or die qualifying game against the D-Backs.

Good news for Tuiasosopo!

If I can learn how to spell Nieuwenhuis (and I have!) then, if necessary, I can learn how to spell Tuiasosopo.

It's spelled exactly as it sounds.

Re: IGT: Game 7 - 04/13/12 @ Philly

sounds like DL likely for Wright, who still can't swing/swollen pinky. Will try again tomorrow, but who knows if one day suddenly makes a difference.

Collins apparently confirms Murphy would go to third, Cedeno/Turner at second which seems like the universally panned move by critics. I support Murphy-Lutz in the infield myself.

Murphy at third and Turner at second seems the way to go to me.

Sounds like that's what they do, but i guess it depends on the roster move too.

I just don't see that providing enough improvement in the run prevention dept to make up for not getting Murphy the extra two weeks of 2B reps.

I, too, am #TeamLutzphy.

I'm thinking the Turner-third thing might be an effort to go lefty-righty all the way down the pipe. (An attempt to counteract the secretly-pretty-good Philly 'pen?)

Nice to have those early hits against Lee.

Bay with an outfield assist too?

Re: IGT: Game 7 - 04/13/12 @ Philly

Most likely answer is that Rollins told Thole not to slide because the play was at first. Thole, like an idiot, thought it was foul and jogged back to first.

I don't recall Wright doing anything THAT bad.

And what's that for Murph now; at least two real clunkers on easy grounders plus three, maybe four, missed DPs?

Fast game also.

Was REAL fast until both the top & bottom of the 9th slowed things up.
Much more enjoyable than the Nats series where each game was 3-1/2 hours.

Re: IGT: Game 7 - 04/13/12 @ Philly

Pretty solid effort from the Mets despite it all.

Tell ya what, neither Philly nor Atlanta looks all that friggin great so far, and maybe if we also didn;t suck Washington would be awfully beatable too.

I'm declaring the East a 5-team Scramble.

I agree, but Phillie hasn't thrown one of their three aces out there at us yet. What we need to do is show we can do well against some of the division's top pitchers. Be nice to get our lefty mashers mashing a bit, too.

Things I disliked:
Thole's baserunning.
Murphy's wickets.
The mention of Rollin's 2007 MVP Award.

Things I liked:
The blue.
Dickey.
The time and pace of the game.
Bay's Blast.
Winning.

'Nother great pitching outing for the Nats - Jordan Zimmermann this time.
Currently tied 1-1 with the Reds in the 13th on ... Friday the 13th.

Braves in a wild one with the Brewers. 10-8 Braves in the 8th.

Well I'm just dumb because I was seriously checking Blanton's stats to see if there's something I've missed in the past few seasons since babies occupy my mind more than baseball.
