I'm so unused to starting these things that I almost forgot I had the honors here today.
It's Earth Day and the earth is doing what the earth tends to do despite the power we sometimes think we have to affect it ... anything it wants.

But assuming this game does actually happen, these are reportedly the players who will participate:

I don;t think the heavy stuff is coming for some time, Your Excellency.

Srlsly, I think it's possible they get in 5 innings today but 7 is in doubt.

DH tomorrow at 4:10, soon to be called "old-fashioned, single-admission doubleheader." Batista and Gee are the Mets starters.

Still wild and crazy. If the playoffs started today, the Mets would be traveling to Atlanta for that one-game Wild Card qualifier. (Randall Delgado v Dillon Gee).

How does the TV coverage work, does WPIX get the early game and SNY the late one?

Actually, that was Lennon going on about the rain.

McCartney does note that the banker never wears a mack in the pouring rain.

So while the Mets weren't playing and the Nats weren't playing and the Marlins weren't playing, they all gained ground on the Braves & Phils who both lost.

Sweet, thank you for the news. Fboy has little league practice at 5:30, I will have to catch game 1 on the iPhone/headphones. Still beats real life.
