New team in town. New light. New life. New Mets in uniform. It's gonna be great.

The Mets are undefeated against the Miami Marlins. Jose Reyes is hitless against the Mets in his career. (although he's 1/4 against Johan)

Sure, and maybe I'll miss a great game. But I can live with that.

Well, that was underwhelming. Nice play by Kirk and Johan looks better than he did last time.

Whatever it is in the Met lineup that brings formerly-dominant, currently-struggling pitchers back to vitality, they should bottle. Perhaps the proceeds will help them, y'know, sign some pitching.

LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Apr 24 2012 06:12 PM Re: IGT 4/24/2012 MIA @ NYM: Leading Off, Number Seven... |
So Josh Johnson's all like, "BOO," and Johan's all, "What, what?" And then Johnson's all "Suck it," and Johan's all, "Na-ah, YOU suck it." And Johnson's like, "Oh, yeah, take THAT," and Johan's all, "I eat that for breakfast with cafe con leche, bub."

11 through 6, with just three baserunners (1 H, 2 BB). Johnson almost as good.

I like that Muffy's getting thrown out at home allowed us to get an extra clueless turn at the plate by Davis.

Santana's nuthin' but bad luck. 'Cause whenever he pitches, the Mets can't buy a run.

There have been some nice defensive plays by the Metsies tonight, It would be a shame if they had to lose the game on not being able to make the play.

Mets don't field well enough to win pitching duels, it's just how it's going to be.

yeah, but you'd think they'd have presold some of it. But it'd been 16 games and Reyes will be back a billion times. cold April nights probably kill any desire.

If the playoffs started today, the Mets would still be alive. They'd play a one-game eliminator against the Giants (home team determined by coin flip); winning team to fly to Atlanta to play the Braves in the one-game Wild card qualifier game.
