Brad Emaus II: Electric Boogaloo

Signed to a minor league contract and assigned to Buffalo, along with JCL Fantasy Fave Fred Lewis. Emaus was playing independent ball. Lewis was released by the Injuns this spring.

Buffalo fans may like him, anyways-- he went .313/.389/.564 with 21 XBH (9 HR!) in less than 200 PA at totally-neutral-playing-environment Colorado Springs (AAA-Colorado). I, too, like the Lewis pickup. But then, I, too, may be former-fantasy-player biased.

I hope Emaus learnt the subtle art of fielding while he was away because from what I saw during his brief stint, he's less capable at 2nd than Muffy.

as long as we have our front office, i'm sure we'll continue to sign bluejays/dodgers castoffs. (and maybe a padre here and there, if they cast anyone off that's worth looking at)

We have a pretty broad range of backgrounds up there. Lewis spent a long time in the Reds system. Scales in the Cubs system. I just think it's pretty cool to still be scouting and signing wayward professionals after the season has begun.
