My thoughts on the cowboy outfits. If they win the next two games, it means their loose, a team that gets along and it's all in good fun. If they lose, it's a definitely a sign that they are not focused on baseball and are wasting our time and money with their dressing-up shennanigans.

I keep hearing about Brian Bogusevic and thinking he must be the son of former Cosmos star Vladislav Bogi?evi?, but no. Mike Nickeas remains the only NASL offspring in the park.

If you're talking about Duda pinch-hitting early for Niese, I thought it was one of the most inspired Met managerial moves that I can remember in a while. Even if the move didn't work out. And the bullpen mostly did the job, keeping the Astros to one run over the next five innings --- though they walked a ton. I'm a little confused about Parnell being the guy you go to after you've burned Ramirez. I'd like to see them get alternated a little bit more. But I don't hang this one on Terry hitting the panic button. Moreso on the offense not being able to operate down a few key parts. I'm holding out hope that a power spike is coming.
