LGM.

2 pm start.

Wandy Rodriguez leading the enemies.

Duda "might" start, Terry says.

Reserve catcher likely to be taxied if Nickeas is still Sickeas.

I'm a little curious when Operation Torres Restoration goes into effect. Until he bats leadoff again, it's this thing I keep waiting to happen. It's driving me mad.

To be fair, it wasn't a long drive.

I think Collins is liking him down further as a break up the lefties guy.

I see what Terry is trying to do... with four of the starting eight batting left-handed, he doesn't want to cluster them too much in the middle of the lineup. Edgy's lineup accomplishes the same thing, but I think, in a better way.

EDIT: Ceetar said pretty much the same thing I did, but two minutes sooner.

Ike needs to hit a few shots off or over the fence before he earns his way back up to 6th is what this really is about. But still. It drove me nuts these last few nights to see Torres getting up there in the middle of everything.

It was a dumb idea to have to get to him so soon, as I said before. I really feel like the Mets have to try and win all they can while they can still see the leaders. Wasted two games on this stiff in addition to the 4 last year. He's never had a good Major League game.

I was really only looking for 3 runs 5 innings, which he did the last three starts. not a high bar, but I figured that was 'doable' for the Mets to overcome. 5 in 3 not so much.

I imagine there is an easy transfer at JFK or LGA to [url]http://www.buffaloairport.com/

oh, we needed him. he got a lot of work down the stretch somehow.

edit: looked it up. not really a lot of work, but five September appearances, and only managed not to give up a run once. (that crazy game against Florida a week to go on the last day of RFK)

he retired after that. I hadn't known that.

Aaron Sele: strange contributor to the September collapse. He had gone all year without starting and when they needed someone the last two weeks they were willing to go to anyone but him.
