Chapman-- the ostensible "8th-inning guy"-- comes on to face Met-order-meat Wright, Duda and Murphy. (NOT Duda and Murphy, mind you.)

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wish our manager was more like Dusty Baker.

Except that it's not like Dusty is doing this in order to have Chapman face the meat of the order. He's as locked into the '8th inning guy' thing as anyone.

It's the 7th. On the road.

Between Rauch & Chapman pitching I got totally messed up on the inning being played.
Still not wild about Dusty's pen mgmt. Hell, their closer went down and STILL CHapman won't close despite the numbers.

Given that he was questionable with a sore thumb that made swinging the bat problematic, maybe we (and by we I mean the Reds) should have seen it coming.
