Mentioned on the radio during yesterday's game that Young is expected to pitch for Class A this week, not sure how far that puts him from kicking the likes of Schwinden and Batista out of starts.

This is of course Chris Young we are all looking forward to seeing and not Cy Young lest we forget.

Terry says he hopes to have Young in the Mets rotation by the end of May. (See the Pel Free thread.)

I'll take the Young we had for 4 starts last year and say thankyouverymuch if we can get him to expand that same pace for like 20 or more.

Re: Chris Young

If Chris Young makes the big club this year, I'm setting the over/under before he lands on the DL at 30 innings pitched.

I'll take it even if it's only for four starts.

The sooner we see him, the better. He doesn't even have to be that good to be a vast upgrade.

That would almost be more a tease than a help.
It almost easy to forget that the dude had a sub-1.00 WHiP and sub-2.00 ERA during his brief 2011 stint ... and a 3-hit game!

Depending on whether you believe what we'd otherwise get from the slot would be that bad, based on the three-start sample.
