Brian Costa ?@BrianCostaWSJ Ike Davis is hitting some bombs during early BP. I believe one ball bounced off a sidewalk and into the river.

Nickeas is doing a lot of chasing tonight. Eleven strikeouts tonight already. Duda doing his part by letting foul balls drop in.

Cedeno's 2-out infield hit didn't produce any runs but it "cleared" Nickeas for the next inning.

Dickey's tied his career high with 10 Ks, and pitched one of his better games in blue-and-orange, and he likely won't get the win, thanks to a Nieuwenhuis bobble while scooping up Harrison's should-have-been-double. OE: Now a career high of 11.

For what it's worth, both Howie and Josh are in agreement with me. I'd leave Dickey in this game.

We're fortunate that McCutcheon's not on 2nd after that play. Rauch can't catch a break (and the Mets can't catch a ball) these last two nights.

On the Murphy one it almost seemed like he was so focused on getting back that he stopped tracking the ball and really was just reacting as it came down.

Not to excuse Santana's giveaway last night but the HR was preceded by one of those bloops between 2B and CF that Turner might have gotten to. It was one of those difficult plays over his head but a quicker read and/or more acceleration going back makes that a harmless solo HR.

I bring it up in another thread, but there's a pretty defensible argument that Duda did his job in the top of the eighth and should have been lifted after that.
