Plays I've never seen successfully pulled off...

... but they happen from time to time.

[list:2j896390][*:2j896390]Triple steal. (Vanderbilt pulled this off today.)

[/*:m:2j896390]
[*:2j896390]Runner tagging on a foul out to the catcher. (I've seen Reyes try this but never succeed.)

[/*:m:2j896390]
[*:2j896390]Liner off an infielder's glove flaring into the outfield and being caught by an outfielder.

[/*:m:2j896390]
[*:2j896390]Bunt double.

[/*:m:2j896390]
[*:2j896390]Round-the-horn triple play (never saw one live, anyhow).

[/*:m:2j896390]
[*:2j896390]Stealing around the bases. (Cobb and Wagner used to do this on occasion --- stealing second, third, and home consecutively --- on perhaps some occasions doing it after reaching on a bunt, no less.) I feel confident this is one I may never see.[/*:m:2j896390][/list:u:2j896390]

The Mets last hit into an around-the-horn triple play a couple of years ago when Jon Niese pitched the one-hitter against the Padres.

Why is this in the non-baseball forum? I was expectingto see the flea-flicker in here!

Never thought I'd ever see this pulled off:

Here is a list of all the bunt doubles since that record was kept.

The Mets were victimized in 2004 by Juan Pierre and Trachsel.

Pierre has done it twice. Endy Chavez is on the list.

I remember Larry Lintz doing it once in a Mets-Expos game in the early 70s.

OE - What I didn't remember was that it happened on September 26, 1973 and was a key hit in the game that stopped the Mets' 7-game winning streak.

I was more impressed by Brendan Ryan's "Little League Triple".

Now that's a double down the line.
